“What do you want?” She suddenly felt more naked than she had in her life.
“Your job here starts now. Well, at least with me. Seems you’ve already pleased Danger.” He gave her a wicked smile.
The choice was easy. The meaning was anything but.
She slunk back, giving him a hard look.
Wolf groaned, slapped the paper onto the counter, and opened his legs. “You agreed, little Miss Dani, our new submissive, and I’d like to have your hot mouth wrapped around my cock.” When she hesitated, he started to walk out the door.
“Yes, sir.” Dani dropped to the floor, crawling toward him just like the vision in her dream. She slipped her hands up along the insides of his legs, drinking in his scent. This man had a different aura about him, equally as commanding, but she could tell he also had something to hide. There was more than one way to skin a cat, at least with regard to gleaning information. She’d always been attracted to bad boys and the four of these men had it in spades.
“Oh, yeah. It’s been a long time.”
“How long?” she asked absently as she slowly unbuckled his belt, rubbing her face against his leg in catlike actions, issuing a series of purring noises.
“Almost two years,” he breathed.
Her fingers move to unbutton and unzip, slowing peeling back the thick jean material. “All alone in the mountains. That must drive you crazy.”
Wolf fisted her hair, tugging on her head. “Nice try, Dani. You’re not getting any details for this scathing piece you want to write, unless you’d like information on skinning a bear.”
Huffing, she peeled away his pants, yanking on his underwear until she was able to free his cock. His thick shaft was already fully erect, the tip hitting her in the mouth. She inhaled his scent, rubbing her face against his shaft. Sliding her hand under his balls, she rolled them between her fingers, marveling at the way they fit into her hand.
“Yeah, that’s better,” he muttered, his fingers remaining intertwined in her hair.
She rubbed her mouth against his cockhead, the scent of him muskier, intoxicating. Darting out her tongue, she slid it back and forth across his sensitive slit.
“You’re a tease. Whew.”
Twisting her hand around the top of his shaft, she could tell she was creating extreme friction, driving him utterly insane. She blew across the tip, making mewing sounds then lifted his cock, licking down the underside. As she pumped his cock, swirling her hand back and forth, she laved his balls, licking and sucking, taking one then the other into her mouth.
“Damn, woman. I can’t wait to fuck you. Yeah, that will be somethin’ special.” Wolf allowed a growl to slip from his lips as his legs began to shake.
Dani took her time, sucking on his testicles and drawing zigzags with her tongue on his shaft before taking his cockhead all the way into her mouth. Using her strong jaw muscles, she clamped down, holding him just inside.
He dropped his head, his fingers clutching her hair. “That’s it. Suck me, baby.”
She did as she was told, sucking then releasing, pulling another inch into her mouth then easing back. Every time his cock was tugged from her mouth, she rubbed her face against his leg. Then she went down on him, keeping her mouth pursed, her tongue moving, and her throat relaxed, as she went down an inch at a time. She pumped the base, riding up until she met her mouth, every move creating intense friction.
“God! Fuck...” His breathing was strangled, his eyes closed. He placed his other hand on the side of her head, jutting his hips forward. As he began to fuck her mouth, taking over full control, beads of sweat rolled down, sliding off the end of his nose.
Dani kept her eyes locked on him, enjoying his savage expression, as if he could feast on her for days. His cock filled her mouth, the tip hitting the back of her throat and she realized she was quivering all over.
He pumped hard and fast, tossing his head back and forth. “So good. Oh...”
The man was close to coming, filling her mouth and she finally closed her eyes, falling into the fantasy. But as he threw his head back and roared, her thoughts drifted once again to Danger, to the way he’d looked at her only minutes before.
Would he ever find a way to forgive her?
Chapter Seven
So she lied. So the hell what? Didn’t they all have backgrounds that they were running away from, or at least not proud of? But damn, a reporter. He should have known when she was so hell bent on keeping track of them. Then the notebook. Christ. He’d allowed his cock to stand in the way of at least finding out who the hell she was. The look on her face, hurt and anger was... Oh, hell, no. He wasn’t going to do this. He continued walking through the trees, getting as far away from the cabin as possible. Time to clear his head.
He’d made a deal with her, perhaps against his better judgment, but the way her body had responded, the way she felt in his arms was incredible. He’d wanted nothing more than for her to submit and he could sense that’s exactly what she’d been craving. The deal was simple, and she’d accepted.
Now what the hell was he supposed to do?
Yes, he’d been incensed, even angry, his normal reaction to things out of his control. “You’re such an idiot.” Saying the words out loud didn’t make the realization any easier. After reading the information on Dani that Wolf had discovered, he did the only thing he felt comfortable in doing.
He bolted.
Since returning from his last stint in Afghanistan, he had no tolerance for bad behavior or a crisis of any manner. She’d written several articles without confirming her sources, at least according to the last few headlines. The scandal had cost her a job. The subject material? Blasphemous enough. “Shit.” Just seeking the articles had brought back too many memories, as if she’d been speaking his mind, accusing the military, even those close to the White House of treason. That had been a lifetime ago, costing him almost as much as what it had cost Dani.
He’d give her chutzpa for taking on the government, her vehemence as well as the accusations she’d written damaging for at least one general in the Marines. And he’d only read the articles. He could only imagine the backstory. Hell, he certainly wasn’t the best judge of anyone.
His nerves as well as his patience had been shot, along with two of his best buddies. In cold blood. Right in front of his eyes. All for the sake of patriotism. Then he’d found out the truth. Dani’s past dragged his own private hell back into the light. Karma was a bitch, refusing to be denied. Maybe he was being pushed into finishing what he’d attempted to start all those years ago. Or maybe the devil himself was kicking him in the teeth.
Time to reduce the excuses, get on with his life. He kicked off his boots, yanking at his belt and jeans, his anger reaching the boiling point. Wolf had far too many contacts, but they’d come in handy. At least he knew what the girl was made of. Yeah, there was always a reason for everything. He’d come here for solitude, as well as money. This shit? Damn, he had no idea what to think or believe.
Plunging into the water, he swam just under the surface until his lungs ran out of air. Coming up, he rubbed his hands over his face, enjoying the coolness against his overheated body. What a life he was living. Lies. Deceit. That’s what he’d turned to after being a decorated veteran? He was as bad as the crap she’d written. But if there was any way she found out his real name?
This assignment had given him the perfect excuse for running away from everything and everyone he knew. What a chicken shit he was. Whatever Dani’s reason for the decisions she’d made were her business, not his. No sense getting in the middle of her shattered life. He had his own gig to deal with. God, she made him crazy. He wanted nothing more than to turn her over his knee and give her the spanking of her life. He also wanted to tie her to his bed, keep her protected, especially from herself.
Or maybe from the dangerous man he’d become.
He swam several laps, wondering if Wolf had been serious about cutting her in on the deal. The girl no doubt needed m
oney and they certainly could use... Hell, what was he thinking? Plying her with money, or perhaps some of their stash in exchange for domesticated services? Full submission? Yeah, he was pulling out all the stops. Snorting, he rolled over onto his back, studying the cloud formations, and the way the sun highlighted the snow-capped mountains. The push to finish the job didn’t bother him in the least. A plane ticket to Tahiti or the Fiji Islands would be the perfect holiday gift to himself.
And what about Angelina?
Yeah, what about her? Her life was sorted out, thank God. She certainly didn’t need a reminder of all the crap she’d been forced to endure. At least he could send her money, make her financial situation easier. As if that would make him a poster boy for being a good man. He had to do something. She probably thought he was dead.
And what exactly was he going to say to Dani? He hadn’t been able to keep his hands off her, acting like the caveman she’d accused him of being. But damn, he hadn’t wanted a woman so badly in his life. She just did it for him. Sinking under the water, he remained holding his breath, as if he could cleanse himself from the poor decisions he’d made. He liked the girl. No, he could fall hard for Dani Carver or Cronfeld. He honestly didn’t care about her last name or her background.
He just wanted her.
All of her.
Every sweet inch.
They would need to figure out what to do with her after the assignment ended. Would she simply cut the ties, leaving them alone? That’s exactly what had to happen, but in the meantime, he’d make certain she kept her part of the deal.
He felt much better as he swam toward the rocks, crawling over them and reaching for his clothes. Which weren’t there. Boots were missing too. “What the fuck?” Scanning the perimeter, he could see no sign of anyone else, but he had his suspicions. A quick whiff of the surrounding air told him that he was right.
After running his hands through his hair and shaking out the excess water, he took careful steps into the forest, watching his footing. Every twig snapping, every crackling of leaves drew him closer. “Come out, come out wherever you are and perhaps I’ll be lenient.” As the wind whistled through the trees, he couldn’t help but smile. Dani certainly refused to take no for an answer. “I’m serious.”
Another snap of a branch and he shot out to his right, racing past several of the trees, able to see her long hair. She’d dressed but there were no signs of his clothes. Springing, he caught her mere seconds later, thrusting her against a tree and pinning her arms over her head. Shaking his head, he allowed his breathing to become guttural, as if stalking his prey.
Her breathing was heavy as she struggled to get out of his hold. “Don’t.”
“And why not? You really are a thief, stealing my clothes.”
“How dare you! I’m no thief,” Dani retorted, kicking out and connecting with his shin in her effort to get away.
“And you’re a brat. Why the hell did you lie to us?” He lowered his head until their lips were almost touching. The scent of her was so damn intoxicating he felt like he was drunk.
“I didn’t lie to you. I just... I just didn’t tell you the truth. Why should I?”
He blew across her lips, shifting his groin back and forth across hers.
“You all speak perfectly good English, no doubt, but you let me think you couldn’t. Or wouldn’t. What the hell was that? Oh!” Screaming out of frustration, she wiggled and lifted her leg, as if she was going to knee him.
“That’s it. I think you need to be cooled off.” He whisked her over his shoulder, unable to keep from laughing as he headed back to the lake.
“What are you doing? Put me down.”
“As Wolf told you, you’re in no position to make any demands. None. I suggest you take your medicine, or maybe I should say punishment.” Careful on the rocks, he climbed just high enough to be able to toss her into deeper water.
“No! Ah!” Her mouth was open as her back hit the water, plunging under.
Danger stood with his arms folded, waiting as she kicked and splashed, trying to get her bearings. When she surfaced, he tilted his head. “Feel better?”
“You’re terrible. Damn you!”
“There will be no cursing. First rule.”
“Fuck. Shit. Damn. Bastard!”
He simply stared at her.
“Asshole. Any better?” Dani snapped.
“That just cost you some time with my belt.”
“You wouldn’t dare try it.”
He chuckled before diving into the water, coming up within inches of her. Pulling her close, he lowered his voice, allowing the lust tingling his engorged cock to filter into the tone. “I can do anything I want, and the truth is, you want me to.” Crushing her mouth, he French kissed her in a savage fashion as he turned them in circle after circle.
Her palms pushed against his chest, as she squealed into the kiss, her hips undulating against his. As he forced their tongues together, sliding back and forth, she started to relax, still whimpering.
Yanking on her shirt, he slid his hand underneath. She’d forgotten her bra and the smoothness of her skin was stimulating, filling his balls. If wanting her was a sin, he couldn’t care less if he ended up in hell. She ignited every fire, the embers long since believed dead.
Dani wrapped one arm around his neck, clinging to him as she rubbed his chest, her fingers kneading. She flung her leg around his thigh, gyrating her hips against his, the friction created explosive.
The kiss was manic and heated, both of them struggling for air. Need and desire meshed together, fighting for superiority. But he didn’t care. He gripped the edge of her shirt, yanking until he was forced to break the kiss. He was nothing more than a wild animal. After tossing the material, he growled then dropped his head as he tugged on her hair, pulling her into a deep arch. “I can’t get enough of you.”
She gripped his arms, panting and licking her lips. “Yes, I just...” Her words dying off, she was shaking, gasping sounds accompanying each breath.
He sucked and nipped the skin on her neck, moving his lips down to her chest and finally to her nipple. Blowing across her fully erect bud, he was amazed how her body responded, goosebumps on her skin and her hardened buds at full attention. He dragged his tongue around her aureole several times before taking the tender flesh between his teeth.
“Oh, yes...” She swiveled her head back and forth in the water, splashing over both of them, her strangled moans filtering up toward the sky.
Sliding his lips to her other nipple, he repeated the move, cupping and squeezing her breast as he sucked. He pinched her nipple, twisting until she jerked up. “You enjoy pain.”
“Mmm... Maybe.”
“You long to submit to powerful men. Don’t you?” He could already tell her answer. This beauty was a born submissive, ready and hungry for the perfect dominating man.
“Maybe,” she teased, licking around his mouth.
“Answer the question or ten more strikes will be added to your sentence.”
She bit her lower lip, as if pouting then nodded several times. “Yes. Yes! Very much so. It’s my fantasy, my very dark fantasy. Are you going to dominate me, force me to obey you, require me to please you just like Wolf said?”
He lowered his head until he was able to lick the base of her earlobe. “Yes.” His single word reverberated in her ear and she clung to him, both legs wrapped around his thighs. His cock ached, his balls ready to explode. “Do you accept? Will you submit to four men? Are you ready to delve into your darkest cravings, fulfill all those fantasies you dream about at night?”
“Yes, sir,” she answered with ease.
There was no reason for her to trust him, let alone four men, but he could tell their shared connection was more powerful than either of them could explain. Slipping his hands into the water, he fumbled until he was able to pull down her shorts and panties, careful to toss them all the way to the rocks. When she was naked, he pulled her close, enjoying the buoyancy of the w
ater, the ripples washing over them. His cock was pinned between them, pushing against her belly.
They were nose to nose, their breathing rapid, bodies intertwined.
“I’m sorry for lying to you,” she whispered.
“I don’t blame you for not telling us who you were, but you’re a reporter and that’s a concern.”
“Why? What are you doing? What deal are you going to cut me in on?” Her eyes were imploring.
He took a deep breath. “And you’re still being a reporter.”
“And you’re hiding something.”
“I had an opportunity like the others did. Once in a lifetime kind of thing. Not sure I’d do it again, but the gig is almost over. I doubt when you find out that it’ll fit into your cavemen piece, but we can’t have any attention drawn to us, especially right now. You have no idea what it would do to Baker City, let alone this mountain.”
“I don’t know what to say,” she said quietly. “I thought I could create a fascinating piece, maybe getting my career back on track. I don’t know what I was thinking. I know it sounds ridiculous. Hell, my editor looked at me like I was nuts.”
“Well, would you like me to carve a few clubs, skin that bear I was forced to kill?” Danger was surprised he was able to jest in any manner, but being with her, in her arms, certainly changed his entire demeanor.
“Yeah, the bears,” she groaned. “You know, I actually enjoy my job, except for the fact I write about cupcakes and children’s school events. My boss doesn’t know the real me. I lied to him in an effort to have a new life. I’m not complaining, at least I have a job and those stories are fine for other people, but they’re not me. I just wanted to find my voice again. That’s all.”
