Nash: A Rough Romance Page 12
He slowly pulled out, driving into me again, taking his time and allowing my muscles to finally get used to the thick invasion. I pressed my cheek against the tile, a smile crossing my face.
I couldn’t move a muscle as he powered into me, fucking me long and hard.
And I enjoyed every second of it.
There was no stopping the brute as he fucked me, ensuring that I knew I belonged to him.
At least for a few seconds of my screwed-up life, I couldn’t be happier.
“I will do this as often as I hunger for,” he mused as he tugged hair from the back of my neck, pressing his face against my skin.
Nothing in the world could feel any better.
As a smile crossed my face, I could tell he was finally close to coming.
And so, I clamped down with every ounce of energy I had, smiling when I heard his intense roar as he exploded deep into me.
He planted his hands on either side of my head, keeping his cock buried inside. As the water pummeled over our skin, I realized I’d never felt safer than I did at this moment.
I was also relaxed while struggling to control my breathing. Everything was a delicious blur, my skin tingling all over.
“Perfect,” he said after a full minute, grinding back and forth. “But still naughty. We’re not finished. Yet. Brat.”
Chapter 9
Reaper
Brat.
The word suited Mitch perfectly. She was both vulnerable as well as a hellion, refusing to follow anyone’s rules.
Especially mine.
She would soon learn, and likely the hard way, that I wasn’t a man to be challenged.
Not my commands.
Not my authority.
And certainly not my integrity.
I grinned as I yanked the bar of soap into my hand, slowly turning her to face me. “Time to clean you up.”
She stared at me in a wide-eyed, almost little girl kind of way, those damn eyes of hers shooting into every molecule as she chewed on her bottom lip.
“I can do that myself,” she said in a quiet voice, but somehow, I knew the vixen in her was ready to surface all over again.
I didn’t bother answering her as I soaped up my hands, then immediately rubbed the small bar over her neck, rolling my other hand down her arm. Goosebumps instantly rose on her skin even though the water remained extremely hot. I could barely keep from dipping my head, sucking on her taut nipples. They were the color of the most beautiful shade of rose, succulent and mouth-watering.
As I tried to concentrate, taking my time to rub both hands down her other arm, soaping every inch, I could feel her heated glare remaining. She had no idea what to think. That made two of us. Up to this point our luck had held. I had no doubt that wouldn’t be the case for long.
At least the assholes wouldn’t know who the hell I was right away. They’d have to do some searching through land records if they wanted to determine who owned the cabin. Somehow, I wouldn’t put it past them. We were in some kind of shit with limited resources. The one thing neither one of us could tolerate would be constantly looking over our shoulder in the future.
Not that she was staying here. Hell, that wasn’t going to happen.
And definitely not with me.
While I was enjoying sparring with her, a part of me savoring every second of tasting and fucking her, this was nothing more than a blip in time.
I wasn’t the relationship kind of guy, no matter how beautiful or intoxicating the woman.
As I brought the bar of soap to her chest, she sucked in her breath. I took my time rolling the thick bar around her nipples, biting back a smile when I heard the slight moan slipping past those gorgeous lips of hers.
“You really think you’re in charge. Don’t you?” she asked, exasperated.
“Yup. I know I am. Remember, you asked for my help. You made a deal to do anything I commanded. That makes me in charge.”
Huffing, she rolled her eyes. As I knew, her rebellious side had already returned. She was like a wild stallion in need of being broken. While I could be that man, I wasn’t entirely certain how she would respond in the first place.
I pushed her legs apart, taking the soap and sliding it ever so slowly down to her bare mound. She was far too enticing, my cock already starting to stir all over again.
Mitch seemed to notice, a sly smile curling on her lip although she remained quiet.
When I soaped my fingers again, I crowded her space, looming over her. She slowly tilted her head, meeting my stare. The second I slid my fingers around her clit, she furrowed her brow.
All I could do was smile. Such a hell cat. Such a delicious, formidable treat.
I turned her around to face the wall, taking my time soaping up her back and legs, enjoying the marks on her bottom. Well spanked and well fucked. I couldn’t get the words out of my mind.
After finishing washing her, I shifted her toward the water. I was actually shocked that she’d allowed me to control cleaning her voluptuous body, although I had to admit, the experience was sensual as fuck. She seemed to enjoy the water as it cascaded down her face and back. The way she tipped her head, exposing her long neck, almost forced me to take her all over again.
God, the woman would light the fire of every man in the freaking state. However, the passion would need to be set aside, at least until we could get a handle on what we were dealing with. Christ. I couldn’t believe I’d actually signed on to help her. What was I getting myself into? Hell, I was already smack in the middle of the nightmare. Why not see it through?
But… she would absolutely need to learn that she couldn’t go off halfcocked.
“Open your mouth,” I instructed.
“I’m sorry. What?” she asked, her body stiffening.
“You heard me. I told you before that we were going to need to take care of that mouth of yours. Part those lips.”
I heard her squeal and could swear I was able to read her mind. Whether she wanted to slap me in the face or kick me in the balls, neither was going to happen.
“I still hate you,” she huffed, a string of curse words erupting from her mouth.
“Like I said. Tough talk for a beautiful lady. We’re going to break you of that. Now, open your mouth.” I eased the soap to her lips, tapping her on the bottom when she didn’t respond quickly.
“Aaahhh…”
“And stick out your tongue.”
Mitch darted a look over her shoulder. I loved a feisty woman and the look in her eyes could shatter glass. But… she obeyed.
“This should help you remember everything I’ve said.” I slowly rolled the bar of soap back and forth across her tongue, fighting the urge to press my throbbing cock against her blushing rounded ass cheeks. “Open wider. That’s a good girl.”
There was no doubt she was still trying to curse me out, the words strangled as she clawed the tile.
But she obeyed.
“That’s it. Bite down.” While it took a few seconds, she followed my instructions. I stepped back, leaning against the wall and watching as she shook her head. I had no intention of leaving the soap for very long. However, the bastard part of me was enjoying the way she shifted her hips back and forth, a grumble still in her throat.
I sighed and moved my hand between my legs, stroking my cock. I still found it hard to believe that this Giordani asshole had gone to all this trouble. Checking on who the hell he was would be one of the first things to do. Maybe Scorpion or Hawk had connections to someone who could check out his record in Chicago. A guy like that likely had a rap sheet a mile long.
I was lost to my thoughts until she stomped her foot, moaning over the thick bar. “You did well. Open your mouth.”
Mitch hissed before spitting it out, the bar tumbling to the shower floor. She lifted her head, sucking in water then spitting several times.
There wasn’t a part of me that wasn’t on fire, my testicles aching like a son of a bitch. I could watch her all night.
S
econds later, she jerked around to face me, narrowing her eyes as she noticed the condition of my cock. “Anything else, sir?”
There was trepidation in her eyes as well as exhaustion. Her reaction dragged at the protective man deep inside. All I could think about was keeping her safe. Fuck me. “No. Hopefully you can find something warm to wear.” The words seemed so ridiculous after spanking her.
And fucking her.
She pursed her lips as she’d done before, her brow furrowing before she threw open the shower curtain and thumped onto the bathmat. She left it open, likely hoping the cold air would irritate the hell out of me.
Instead, it made me want her that much more.
As I slowly pulled the curtain closed, I placed my hands on the tile and lowered my head under the water. I hadn’t been sure how I’d feel seeing Scorpion again. Unsettled. Uncertain. Guilty. But even more than the dark emotions, I felt relief at being in my hometown. Damn, I’d missed the mountains and blue skies.
I heard the door open and close with a hard thud and I bit back a laugh. What a fucked-up world we lived in.
Only minutes later, the hot water started to run out. Chuckling, I threw open the curtain, half expecting that either my clothes would be tattered or my gun missing. Neither had occurred. Maybe she had begun to learn her lesson.
Nah.
She was far too pigheaded, determined to make it on her own.
Determined to get herself killed.
After drying off, I snaked the towel around my waist, curious to see where she’d gone. The bedroom door was open just a crack. When I pushed it open, I was surprised to find her already under the covers asleep. Padding closer, I peered down, resisting brushing my fingers across her face.
Scorpion had placed some of his clothes on the dresser. At least we were about the same size. After sliding into them, I slid the gun behind my back and under my waistband before walking into the living room.
Scorpion couldn’t keep the grin off his face. “Think you need a drink, buddy. That was some musical.”
I gave him a hateful look before moving toward the glass and bottle of liquor he’d placed on the table. After pouring a half glass and taking a gulp, I finally broke into a huge smile. “Sorry about that.”
“I don’t think you are. Besides, why should you be?” His laugh was genuine. I was surprised to see how relaxed he was. He even had his feet on the coffee table. The man I remembered was a hard ass, refusing to follow rules or any form of decency. “You look a hell of a lot better without that scruff on your face.”
I rubbed my jaw and glared at him. “It had a purpose.”
“Yeah, well, that’s not the man I remember.”
“Maybe I’ve changed.”
Scorpion had a wistful look in his eyes. “I think we all have.”
The quiet moment shifting between us was unsettling. We’d all been forced to face the fact we weren’t immortal and that decisions we’d made had altered the course of our lives forever. A round of anger starting to build. That wasn’t going to help me ensure Mitch’s safety.
“She’s a damn handful. I’ll tell you that much,” he said after another minute had passed.
“You have no idea. Kinda worried she might try and bolt in the middle of the night.” I took another swallow of the bourbon and stared at the fire. Was I more concerned about the fact she’d steal a truck or that I was worried about what might happen to her? The answer slithered into my mind.
Fuck me. I actually gave a damn about the girl.
Scorpion snorted. “I got some rope in the kitchen.”
I shot him a look, half laughing. The man was serious. I tilted my head in the direction of the hallway. “Well, she did already attempt to steal my truck.”
“Well,” he said as he cocked his head. “Then you might need to take your concerns seriously. If those assholes are as determined as I think they are, last thing we need is to have them check the glove compartment in order to find out who helped her. I assure you, men like that won’t stop until they’ve hunted and secured what they’ve been sent to find.”
“You don’t need to tell me that.” I took another swig then eased the glass onto the mantel. “Need to find out everything we can about this Giordani dude.”
“I agree. Hawk knows the sheriff pretty well. Should probably have a chat with her in the morning. In the meantime, the kitchen’s right through that doorway. Should find the rope in the first left hand drawer. I always keep a spare fifteen feet or so.”
“For that gal of yours?”
His grin was all I needed. I took long strides into the kitchen, finding the thick rope exactly where he’d said it would be. As I took my time heading toward the bedroom, I tied one end, the loop perfect for keeping her exactly where I wanted her.
My cock stirred all over again just thinking about it.
Mitch didn’t stir at all when I wrapped the loop around her wrist, sliding the other end around the thick brass portion of the headboard. After securing and yanking on the rope, I was satisfied that she wasn’t going anywhere.
I tugged the covers up higher before walking out of the room and closing the door. Why the hell was my heart beating so damn rapidly?
By the time I walked back into the living room, Scorpion had grabbed a laptop, pulling it to the coffee table.
“Did you find anything?” I asked, grabbing my glass. I had a feeling it was going to be a hell of a long night.
“Nothing yet. It could be he’s a two-bit criminal.”
“No way. From what she told me, he’s definitely big in the drug scene in Chicago.” I could tell by the look on his face that he wanted to say something, likely chastising me for being a dumbass. While I wasn’t in the mood, I had landed on his doorstep with a wayward woman by my side, a crazy story to tell.
“Hate to ask you this, buddy, but do you trust what Mitch has told you?”
I thought about his question, finally sitting on the edge of the couch. “I don’t have a reason not to believe her. She was scared to death when I found her, certain I was one of the bad guys.”
“You said she left a truck up there?”
“Yeah, so she said, although I didn’t see it when I drove out of there.”
“Maybe you and I need to take a trip up there when the storm abates, and the roads are better.”
I nodded, shifting my drink back and forth in my hands, thinking over everything she’d told me. At least we were safe for the time being. He continued a search, remaining quiet. I hated the awkwardness between us.
“Well, I found something. Take a look.” Scorpion pushed the laptop in my direction, lifting a single eyebrow. “Dante Giordani is bad news all right.”
After shifting closer to the computer, I took a deep breath. The asshole’s picture was on the front page of the Chicago Sun. I read the article, my adrenaline increasing every paragraph. “It would appear that he got off some murder rap, all charges dropped. That rings true to what Mitch told me.”
“Interesting. Did she tell you the name of this DA who was handling the case?”
“A Mr. Porter, but that’s all she said.”
Scorpion swirled his glass as he leaned over. “Maybe Sheriff Robertson can find out what really happened. We should have a chat with Mustang and Hawk as well. Seems like we need to kick some ass.”
I nodded before taking in exactly what the asshole looked like. The fucker thought he was larger than life.
Well, if he dared cross state lines into Montana, the bastard would learn what western hospitality was like.
At the end of the barrel of my gun.
Pop! Pop! Pop!
“They’re coming,” Mustang hissed.
“They’re all around us. Fuck!” Scorpion snarled.
I searched the darkness, hearing nothing but moans coming from inside the dilapidated walls of the prison holding our soldiers. Then the whooshing sound coming from within close proximity grabbed my attention. I rolled several feet, taking aim just as an explo
sion sounded off in the distance.
“What. The. Fuck?” Vaper called. “They’re destroying their own compound.”
As I struggled to get to my knees, the shadows morphed into insurgents coming in our direction. I took aim and let the bullets fly.
“What the hell?”
The shrill sound made me grouchy as fuck. My eyes snapped open, my hand immediately reaching for my weapon out of habit. With the gun securely placed in my fingers, I jerked up, ready to face our enemy. The bastards weren’t going to cut us down.
“I hate you. You’re a bastard.”
Exhaling, I blinked several times, trying to yank in my focus. The sound was entirely different than what I’d expected.
It was also decidedly female.
As the light of morning streamed into my eyes, I began to realize what the hell I was hearing.
Mitch’s cry of fury.
A grin popped on my face as I put my feet on the floor, stretching my neck before placing the Glock on the nightstand. The bed was actually moving from the force of her actions.
“Fucking jerk. Moron. Bastard.”
“I think you’ve already indicated your thoughts,” I said quietly before standing. Every muscle in my body ached as if I’d gone ten rounds with a prize fighter. I threw out my arms, unable to wipe the smile from my face. Let her sweat for a little while longer. It might make me a bad man, but her wails and cries were actually adorable. At least she’d stayed in one place for the entire night.
A blessing.
While sleep had been fitful, I’d managed to grab a few hours. Keeping her tied up had seemed like the thing to do.
She huffed and she puffed, yanking at her binding. I could hear the creaking sound the rope made as she struggled. I’d done a pretty good knot, especially since I hadn’t tied one in a hell of a long time.
I walked toward the window, peering out the blinds at the fresh snow that had fallen overnight. At least it had been only a few inches, nothing in comparison to the near blizzard we’d experienced on the mountain. All the ugly details flowed into my mind, smashing against the dream I’d been forced to wake up from.
